Melissa Brockett

Established in 2024 HIHEC, LLC - Haircare Is Healthcare Educational Center was founded to close the gap in client education about their hair loss and its relation to their health. 

For nearly 20 years, I’ve worked as a registered nurse in medical-surgical units, emergency departments, and homecare — serving as a staff nurse, supervisor, manager, and educator. Through these experiences, I witnessed firsthand how health, stress and medications can impact someone’s hair journey. In 2021, I pivoted my career and became a licensed cosmetologist with certification courses in becoming a trichologist and loctician, too.

Barbers and beauticians are integral in identifying early signs of hairloss. At HIHEC, I want to aid in developing strong professionals who serve as the experts to guide their clients to the next best steps in holistic care.
